Persimmon Spritz Mocktail

Persimmon Spritz Mocktail

Persimmon Spritz Mocktail

Persimmon Spritz Mocktail is a refreshing drink with flavours of persimmon and ginger. The base for this recipe is made with pureed persimmon, so it is quite thick and adds a little texture to the drink.

Persimmons are the national fruit of Japan and are a good source of potassium, phosphorous, and vitamin C.  Persimmons taste sweet, mild, and rich with some ‘honey like’ flavour. Its texture is similar to that of an apricot and its skin is a bit tougher than an apple.  If you haven’t tried persimmons in your drinks yet, you’re in for a real treat.

These vibrant orange fruits are a fall favourite, but they are great in mocktails/cocktails any time of the year. Persimmons bring a unique sweetness and a touch of earthiness to any drink. They are perfect for when you want to mix up something a little different and totally delicious.
